Philosophy

How We Think. How We Invest.

Thirty years of building, exiting, and investing — now channeled into one platform.

This is how
INDY thinks, and who is behind it.

The launch of INDY is the rebranding of Glen Road Capital. It was born out of the realization that 30+ years of doing deals, working with great people, and investing capital for ourselves and others should not just end. It should harvest the best of those years and become a conduit for good people, capital, and great companies coming together. INDY Capital is just that. We have assembled a team of seasoned deal makers and operators who weren't ready to hang up their skates, added in some youth, and created a dynamic offering.

The name is an acronym for what brought us together:

INDY INVESTS ITS OWN CAPITAL ALONGSIDE INVESTORS IN EVERY DEAL

The Problem

We Feel the Traditional Private Equity Model Is Broken

2% management fee model creates misaligned incentives. Here's why:

Gold monogram of intertwined letters C and S crossed by an X inside a circle

2% Management Fee

Firms get paid regardless of performance. You lose, they still win.

Gold stacked coins with a dollar sign and plus symbol, representing adding money or savings

Performance Fees on Top

Additional fees layered on management fees. Double dipping.

Fee-First Model

Management fees earned before investor returns. Wrong order.

Asset Gathering

Incentivized to raise largest fund possible. Not best returns.

Our Solution

A Different Approach: Full Alignment

Zero management fees. 7.5% hurdle. True partnership.

No Management Fees

No ongoing fees based on assets. We don't get paid to hold your capital.

7.5% Hurdle First

Investors earn first 7.5% annualized before we participate.

Principals Co-Invest

We invest alongside you. Our capital is at risk in every deal.

Founder & Principal — Steve Meehan

Steve has worked alongside management teams to take companies from startup to hundreds of millions in valuation, executed successful public market exits, and delivered investor returns ranging from 8 to 22 times original invested capital across multiple ventures.

At INDY, he leads with the same discipline that has defined every business he has built. Capital is treated as an owner would treat it. Principals co-invest in every deal. The board provides oversight. Interests are aligned by design.

“I actually don't want to bring in new capital unless I have a place to invest it. Raising capital for the sake of it doesn't do anyone any good. We deploy capital only when the conditions are right — and that discipline is what protects investors." — Steve Meehan

Investments That Built INDY's Discipline

Steve Meehan led and partnered with management teams across numerous investment opportunities that demonstrated the same discipline INDY applies today: rigorous selection, hands-on partnership, and patience for the right exit. Here is a sample of some of those results;

2,200%

Lorne Park Capital

Return to original investors over 14 years

1,300%

IPC Financial Network

Return to original public shareholders over 5 years

800%

Intrigue Technologies (Harmony Remote)

200%+

NVT Phybridge

Returns reflect investments led by Steve Meehan, working alongside management teams and boards prior to and including INDY Capital Partners. Past performance does not guarantee future results.

How We Think

Management Partnership

We partner with management teams of invested companies. We are operators, not just capital providers.

Investor Partnership

Transparent reporting, aligned incentives, and shared goals. Our investors are partners, not just capital sources.

Capital Stewardship

Investor interests come first. We deploy capital only when conditions meet our strict criteria — never to generate fees.

Disciplined Deployment

Capital is deployed with discipline and long-term alignment. We walk away from more deals than we pursue.

Our Criteria

What We Look For

Disciplined criteria. Rigorous selection.
